First Cover

I came up with a fiction story, titled ‚On the Road‘. It concerns a young couple on their way to somewhere unknown. A very sensual love story, together against the whole world… My model was Ira, a girl with whom I had enjoyed working before and her not-yet official boyfriend (this all changed directly after the shoot), and they seemed to fit my idea perfectly. My friend lent us his 1957 Buick, a glossy black throwback from the rockabilly era. I ended up blindly sending these pictures to several magazines and promptly forgot about them.  Four weeks later WHO magazine decided to publish them, even going so far as to use one as their cover photo. Receiving this news while being in the outback of Australia with no phone coverage for two weeks was quiet magicial.
